This is a N-type thermocouple wire with braided ceramic fiber insulation, which is good up to about 1000 C or 1832 F. This N-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own thermocouple probe for a wide range of high temperature applications, or to make your own thermocouple extension wire. It can be used for ovens, furnaces, kilns and machines. Great for science projects! The wire is made to standard N-type thermocouple specifications. It is sold in 1 yard increments, so if you order 10 units of this, you will receive a single 10 yard long wire.

Type N thermocouple wire is used in applications with low oxygen levels and when hydrogen gas or hydrogen containing compounds are present. Unlike Type K wire this Type N wire will not show green rot in the presence of hydrogen.
