Description
Scientific K-type Thermometer DM6801A+
With High Temperature K-Type Sensor CR-2
Measures -500 to 1999.0 °F (-50.0 to 1370.0 °C)
This is a brand new, high quality K-type thermometer or pyrometer for high temperature measurements. It has one input for K-type thermocouples and can display the temperature up to 1999 degree F or 1300 degree C.
It is great for science projects and whenever you need a precise measurement of very high temperatures. It is often used with ceramic kilns, furnace, ovens in metal working and in any other high temperature process. I have many people using this pyrometer for their pottery kiln or furnace, and it will work with all types: electric kiln, gas or propane fired kiln, or wood kiln. I have many hobby and professional potters buy this set, but it also is used in glass fusion and forges.
It comes with the 8.5 inch long K-type thermocouple with ceramic insulators. This is made with very thick AWG8 (3.2mm) thermocouple wire, which makes it very durable and long lasting. The durability is also improved by the twisted tip of the thermocouple (in cheap probes the two wires are welded without a twist). The wire is Class 1 or Select Grade, the best K-type class available.
The set comes with a ceramic connector plate and a 5 ft (155 cm) K-type hookup cable CR-4 with fiberglass insulation and miniature thermocouple connector.

Great portable device for kiln
Excellent for measuring temps. The probe is def fragile. Knowing this from reading previous reviews, I purchased a separate probe from a different place and it works well with the reader.

K-TYPE THERMOMETER W HIGH TEMPERATURE CERAMIC PROBE FURNACE KILN CR-7
Just what I wanted. Works great. I use it for monitoring the temp when I'm normalizing & tempering high carbon steel. Very satisfied.

High Temp Probe
Worked well I thought it was very close to actual temp, only complaint is in my forge once the reading is over 1999*F it for some reason switches to a "1" so I have to run it in *C and then do a conversion

Works Great
I bought this for a custom casting furnace that I built. It works great. I couldn't run my furnace accurately without it! Shipping was extremely fast too! I got an email 30 minutes after my order showing it shipped. Got it in a couple days. Awesome service!
