This is a K-Type Thermocouple extension wire with a miniature male and a miniature female k type thermocouple connector. The K-type connectors conform to the miniature connector dimensions with flat blades and the K-Type Thermocouple Extension Wire specification. This means the metal prongs and the wire are made from compensating metal, the same material as the k-type thermocouple wire, which is chromel / alumel. This minimizes the impact of the extension wire on the temperature reading.

The K-type thermocouple extension cable can transmit the temperature signal over the full K-type thermocouple range, from -300 to 2500 degree Fahrenheit, or -180 to 1370 degree Celsius. You just need to use the extension wire in a section that is below 221 °F, so that the insulation does not melt.
