This is a stranded k-type thermocouple wire with brown PVC insulation, which is good up to about 105 C or 221 F. This k-type thermocouple wire can be used to make your own thermocouples for a wide range of applications, or to make your own strong extension wire. The chromel alumel wire is made to standard thermocouple specifications. This is a stranded wire, it is AWG 20 or about 0.81 mm conductor thickness, therefore especially useful for k-type extension wires in applications that need extra strength or for long runs.
