This is a Type K thermocouplen with Kapton insulation that is welded to a mounting ring. This allows you to mount to any surface using a screw. The mounting hole is about 1/4 inch ( 6.3 mm ) in diameter and works well with 10-32 screws. The thermocouple wire used for this probe is a AWG 24 solid wire and has a premium quality miniature thermocouple plus with a white label field.
